Exclusive interview of Ramdas Athawale.
New Delhi: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third time today. Before this, calls have started going to those who are to be included in the cabinet. Meanwhile, Republican Party of India (RPI) President Ramdas Athawale had a special conversation with India TV. On this occasion, Ramdas Athawale said that ‘Congress made a lot of efforts in this election, but as per the order given by the public, Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time, this is a matter of happiness for us. He also said that I have also got the opportunity to become a minister for the third time, for this I express my gratitude to them.’
Narendra Modi is the protector of the constitution
On the Congress and the opposition’s constant talk of changing the Constitution during the election campaign, Ramdas Athawale said that ‘I think Narendra Modi is a person who protects the Constitution of the country. He repeatedly took the name of the Constitution, and announced to celebrate Constitution Day across the country on 26 November. Yesterday, he took an oath in the Central Hall by placing the Constitution on his forehead that he will work to strengthen Baba’s Constitution. I think that the rumours of changing the Constitution were used to mislead people, so the public has taught them a lesson.’
Athavale recited a poem
When he was asked to express his views through poetry, he said-
‘Some people might laugh, but Narendra Modi is becoming the Prime Minister for the third time, so I and the countrymen are happy’
‘The Congress party had betrayed me, but Narendra Modi has given me a chance to become a minister’
Mamta may join NDA
When Ramdas Athawale was asked about his priorities after becoming a minister, he said, “I will keep working for the people. It is the Prime Minister’s right, I will do whatever work he gives me.” On the opposition’s claim of mid-term elections, Ramdas Athawale said, “I think Congress will not get a chance so soon. Many parties are associated with us. In future, it will happen that people of Indi Alliance will also come to us. Mamta ji was with us earlier also, so she can come with us in future also.”
