Udaipur. In view of the scorching heat in the state, District Collector Namit Mehta took a meeting of district and block level officials on Wednesday and gave necessary instructions regarding the heat -management. He said- “Nothing is more than life, and sensitivity is necessary at every level to deal with the heat.” He made it clear that no negligence would be tolerated in prevention of heat stroke.
Citing the instructions of the Chief Minister, Collector Mehta said that the safety of animals and birds is also necessary along with human life. In such a situation, all departments should ensure that there is no untoward due to heat stroke in any corner of the district. He also discussed the SOP issued by the state government regarding heatwave.
These officers were involved in the meeting: In this meeting through VC, ADM Administration Deepender Singh Rathore, CEO Zilla Parishad Riya Dabi, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ramprakash, CMHO Dr. Ashok Aditya, PHED SE Lalit Nagauri, MB Hospital Superintendent Dr. RL Suman and all subdivision officers, development officers and block -level officers joined the district.
These instructions were given: Shadow and drinking water should be arranged in public places. Also, grain-water should be made available for animals and birds. The power supply remained uninterruptedly. Regular supply of drinking water should be ensured. Water supply should be started from tankers in sensitive villages. There should be a system of shadow, water and medicines at NREGA workplaces. Processes should be arranged by meeting Medicare Relief Society in medical institutions.
Drinking water, electricity, fans, coolers, medicines and dedicated wards should be available in hospitals. Subdivision officers inspect Gaushalas and Nandi schools and ensure arrangements. There was a system of air-water and primary aid in government and private schools. Children’s outdoor activities should be postponed. Public awareness campaign should be launched for the symptoms and prevention of heatwave.
