According to the 7th Pay Commission, an IAS officer is initially given Rs 56100 as basic salary. Apart from this, they are also given TA, DA and HRA. An IAS officer initially gets a salary of more than Rs 1 lakh per month including all allowances. However, by the time he reaches the post of Cabinet Secretary, his salary goes up to Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand.
