Amitabh Bachchan Statue in New Jersey
Washington: A life-size statue of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan installed by an Indian-American businessman outside his house in New Jersey, USA, has been listed as a tourist attraction by ‘Google Maps’. Gopi Seth installed the life-size statue of Bachchan in August 2022 outside his residence in Edison City, about 35 km south of Manhattan in New York.
The number of people has increased
“Our house has become one of the most popular tourist attractions because of Amitabh Bachchan’s statue. After getting recognition by Google search, the number of people visiting the place is increasing day by day,” Seth told PTI on Sunday. Fans of the famous Indian actor visit the place and take pictures and selfies and also share them on social media platforms like Instagram and X.
Bachchan has fans in every corner of the world
Seth also shared some videos of fans who came to see the statue. He said, “Bachchan’s fans from all over the world come to see the statue. 20 to 25 families come every day. People who come here often leave letters here praising this great actor.” Seth said, “Our house is a proof of Bachchan’s global popularity and it is an honor for us to welcome his fans from every corner of the world.”
60 lakh rupees were spent on the entire project
Let us tell you that Gopi went to America from Dahod in Gujarat in 1990 and settled there since then. He has also been running a website based on Amitabh Bachchan for the last 3 decades named Big B Extended Family. According to the report, this statue was made in Rajasthan and from there it was sent to America. The cost of this entire project was about 60 lakh rupees. (Language)
