New Delhi/Srinagar. Article 370 once again rose political mercury, but this time the reason for former RAW Chief AS. Dulat’s new book ‘The Chief Minister and the spy’. There were reports in the media that this book claimed that former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, had ‘secretly’ supported to remove Article 370. But now Dulat himself has dismissed these claims outright. Talking to the news agency ANI, Dulat clearly said – “Have I said in the book that they were supporting? It is a nonsense. It is a media stunt, not mine.”
At the same time, Farooq Abdullah himself has also termed such reports as “cheap stunts” and said that he never supported the removal of Article 370.
Significantly, A.S. This book of Dulat is releasing on 18 April. The controversy that has arisen before the launch of the book has brought the book into the headlines. What is written in the book will be clear only after its release, but the way Dulat has clearly described these reports as ‘nonsense’, he has tried to stop all speculation.
Stir in political corridors, but waiting for the pages of the book
This issue once again proved how sensitive emotions about Article 370 are still. And when a big name – Farooq Abdullah – and the book of former head of an intelligence agency joins it, it is bound to be discussed.
Now everyone’s eyes are on 18 April, when ‘The Chief Minister and the spy’ will be in front of the public. Then you will know what is actually recorded in the pages of the book – reality or only speculation.
