Bangalore. In a shocking incident, a father set his son on fire after he threatened to kill him over a money dispute in Bengaluru. The shocking CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The deceased has been identified as Arpit (25).
The accused has been identified as Surendra, a resident of Azadnagar, who has been taken into custody by the police.
According to the police, Surendra had set Arpit on fire on April 1. Arpit was admitted to Victoria Hospital in Bangalore, who died on Thursday.
Surendra, who was running the manufacturing unit, had put his son Arpit in charge of it.
Police said Arpit could not manage the unit properly and was unable to give account details of Rs 1.5 crore earlier as well. Arpit spent Rs 12,000 this time for personal reasons, which enraged his father.
After which, father and son quarrel over this issue and Arpit tells his father that he will not give details of accounts, as he is determined to kill him (Surendra).
They had a fight in front of the laborers and the father threw flammable material on his son and burnt him.
Arpit and eyewitnesses have recorded their statements to the police.
The police is investigating the matter.
