Chandigarh The birthday of Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Aarti Singh Rao was celebrated on July 3 with enthusiasm and social welfare activities throughout the state. Many initiatives of public welfare were taken on this occasion. In Rewari, Mahendragarh, Bhiwani and Gurugram, financial assistance was provided as a fixed deposit (FD) certificate ranging from Rs 1100 to Rs 11000. About 1000 FDs were launched in the name of these girls. The purpose behind this step is to improve sex ratio in the area and promote women’s education and empowerment. In addition, plants were distributed and planted in Nuh and other districts to commemorate the minister’s birthday. Aarti Singh Rao’s father and Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh also participated in the plantation campaign in Bawal, Rewari. Gaushalas were also donated to the tradition of service of animals and conservation of cultural values.
From morning onwards, people started reaching the office of the Health Minister at Mandi Atteli. Later there was also a cake cutting ceremony. Various dignitaries attended the birthday celebrations, who called for collectively work towards improving sex ratio in Haryana under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign and to ensure equality between boys and girls. The minister expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the best wishes given on his birthday. He thanked all party workers, supporters, members of community, members and well -wishers participating in the function through public service works.
