These measures have been taken in the wake of increased terrorist activity in the region. On the night of June 11, terrorists attacked a checkpost on the Bhaderwah-Pathankot road, injuring five Rashtriya Rifles jawans and a Special Police Officer (SPO). Security agencies suspect that three to four terrorists are hiding in the hilly areas of Doda. In an effort to curb terrorist activities, the police have also detained 50 persons in Reasi district. This is part of the ongoing investigation into the recent attack on a bus carrying pilgrims, reflecting a comprehensive security strategy to root out terrorism and ensure the safety of civilians and security personnel.
