The Finance Minister said – this is the budget of developed India. Inflation was 8 percent during UPA, currently it is around 5 percent. Unemployment has been brought down from 17 to 10 percent.
New Delhi. When the opposition became aggressive in Parliament after the presentation of Budget 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman cut off all the allegations with the sword of figures. During this, the Finance Minister presented the figures of the allocations made in the budget and the steps taken by the government to make everyone from inflation to unemployment and from farmers to women strong and capable. Sitharaman said that our vision is to make India developed by the year 2047 and this budget has also been presented in this direction.
The Finance Minister first drew the Parliament’s attention to the highlights of the budget and told which sectors the government is focusing on for development and expansion. He said that since 2014, the Modi government has been working on the theme of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas and Sabka Prayas-Vishwas’. He said that while the budget allocation for agriculture and related sectors was only Rs 30 thousand crore in the financial year 2013-14, this year we have given Rs 1.52 lakh crore to this sector. This is 8 thousand crore more than last year. Similarly, Rs 84 thousand crore was allocated for education and skill in 2013-14, which has increased to Rs 1.54 lakh crore today.

No discrimination against any state
When the opposition alleged that the UPA ruled states have been ignored in the budget this time, the Finance Minister said that even during the UPA rule, all the states were not included in the budget. This time we have given this benefit to all the states and no state has been ignored. Our effort is that the cooperation of all the states should be included in this effort of developed India.
Unemployment and inflation also reduced
The Finance Minister also gave a befitting reply to the opposition’s biggest allegations of unemployment and inflation. He said that the unemployment rate was 17 percent during the UPA government, which has been brought down to 10 percent today. If we look at inflation, it is much lower in India than the global level. The inflation rate was 8 percent during the UPA government. Our priority is to bring the inflation rate down to around 4 percent, which is currently between 5 and 6 percent.
Growth rate kept increasing after the pandemic
The Finance Minister silenced the opposition by presenting the figures of the fast pace of the country’s economy. He said that while the whole world is still struggling for growth rate after the Corona period, the Indian economy has crossed the figure of 8 percent growth rate. Our growth rate has been steadily gaining momentum since the pandemic. He accused the opposition that figures were hidden during the UPA regime. Today all the figures of our government are transparent and they have also been mentioned in the Finance Bill.
