New Delhi. For the last few days, efforts were being made continuously by the opposition parties to surround the Modi government at the Center on the issue of inflation. The attacks by opposition parties intensified in view of the upcoming Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat assembly elections. In order to break it, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given a befitting reply to the opposition parties in a series of tweets on Saturday. Let us inform that a total of 12 tweets were made by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in a sequential manner. In which he had mentioned not one, but many relief news. Along with reducing the price of petrol and diesel, the Finance Minister had announced to reduce the price of ELPG cylinders. After the above announcement of the Finance Minister, questions were raised from the political corridors on the Modi government at the Center that when inflation is desperate to reach its peak, then how come the economic damage resulting from the reduction of other items including rising petrol and diesel. Modi government will be able to bear it. Come, let us tell you about it in detail in this report.
According to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, excise duty consists of Basic Excise Duty, Special Additional Excise Duty, Road and Infrastructure Cess and Agriculture and Infrastructure Development Cess. Basic excise duty is also shared with the states, while special additional excise duty, road and infrastructure cess and agriculture and infrastructure development cess are not shared with anyone. Due to which somewhere in the coming days, the Modi government at the Center will get the power to bear the brunt of inflation. Along with this, in his second tweet, how will the Modi government bear the rising prices of petrol and diesel. He has explained this in detail in his tweet. Let us tell you that the Finance Minister has cut the excise duty of Rs.8 in petrol and Rs.6 in diesel. Earlier in November 2021 also, excise duty has been cut by Rs 8 and Rs 6 in the price of petrol and diesel. Keep in mind that earlier when the excise duty was cut in the price of petrol and diesel, the Modi government at the Center had suffered a loss of Rs 21 lakh. That too at a time when the Modi government at the Center is facing various economic difficulties. Earlier, due to reduction in excise duty in the price of petrol and diesel twice a year, the central government was cut by Rs 2.2 lakh.

Let us tell you that the central government has announced to give subsidy to 9 crore beneficiaries. The government said that a subsidy of Rs 200 crore will also be given to those who have gas cylinders. However, there is no doubt that after the above announcement of the central government, the common people who are suffering from inflation are breathing a sigh of relief.
