Devbhoomi Dwarka. A house caught fire in Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat on Sunday. Due to this, four members of the family including a girl died due to suffocation.
Police Inspector TC Patel said that when the fire broke out at around 3.30 am on the first floor of the house located on Aditya Road in Dwarka city, five members of the family were sleeping. He told that after the fire, the electricity in the house went off due to which the family members could not find the exit door.

When firefighters reached the spot, they saw a man, his wife, his eight-month-old daughter and her mother lying unconscious on the first floor of the house. He was immediately taken to the government hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Patel said that the man’s grandmother was sleeping in a room on the ground floor of the house and she escaped safely. Officials said that it is believed that the fire started due to the explosion of the air conditioner after it overheated. He said that forensic experts are trying to find out the exact cause of the fire. The deceased have been identified as Pawan Upadhyay (39), his wife Tithi (29), daughter Dhyana and mother Bhavaniben (69).
