Ukraine Live News: The first evacuation flight carrying 219 passengers from Ukraine has landed in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The plane took off from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, this afternoon. The batches of Indian students who had entered Hungary from the Ukraine side at the Zahoni Crossing are today traveling to Budapest to return to India on an Air India flight. This information has been given by news agency ANI quoting the Indian Embassy in Hungary. The Indian Embassy in Slovakia has issued an advisory for the evacuation of Indians through the Uzhhorod-Vysne Nemeke border. The Embassy of India in Hungary has issued an advisory to Indians to evacuate from Ukraine via Hungary. The return of Indians from Ukraine has started.
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said that the first flight with 219 Indians evacuated from Ukraine took off from Romania for Mumbai. The External Affairs Minister said that we are making progress. Our teams are working on the ground 24 hours a day. Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said that more than 4000 people have returned, but some people are still trapped there. India is committed to the safety of its citizens. We are trying to get people out of there. Ukraine’s airspace is closed so we are using land routes.
