Assembly elections are going to be held in Rajasthan next year. Earlier, the Karauli violence and bulldozers on the 300-year-old temple have increased the difficulties of the Ashok Gehlot government. The opposition has even compared to Aurangzeb. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also constituted a five-member committee to probe the demolition of a 300-year-old Shiva temple.
Let us tell you that the temple was demolished in Sarai Mohalla of Alwar district of Rajasthan. The BJP committee constituted under the chairmanship of Sikar MP Swami Sumedhanand will visit Rajgarh in three days and prepare a factual report and submit it to Rajasthan BJP President Satish Poonia. According to an India Today report, BJP leader Sanjay Naruka said, “The committee includes Chandrakanta Meghwal, Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, Braj Kishore Upadhyay and Bhavani Meena.”
Sharing a video of the incident on Twitter on Thursday, BJP leader Amit Malviya launched a scathing attack on the Congress. “Shedding tears on Karauli and Jahangirpuri and hurting the faith of Hindus – this is the secularism of the Congress,” he said. In another tweet, Amit Malviya alleged, “Without issuing any notice on April 18, the administration bulldozers on 85 pucca houses and shops of Hindus in Rajgarh town of Rajasthan.”
BJP leader Shahzad Poonawalla accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of maintaining silence on the demolition of the temple in Rajasthan. He alleged that for the Congress “Rioters against bulldozer = communal, Hinduism on bulldozer = secular.”
Compared to Aurangzeb
BJP MP Kirori Meena said that Gehlot government mercilessly demolished an old temple like Aurangzeb. BJP MPs are sitting on a dharna outside the police station in Rajgarh. “The Congress has an appeasement mindset and has been doing so from the very beginning,” Meena said.
Congress also accused BJP
Rajasthan Congress chief GS Dotasara alleged that the temple removal work had started during the previous BJP government in the state. He said, “Encroachment of Alwar temple started during the previous rule of BJP government. To say that Congress disturbs temples and idols is wrong. This has always been the agenda of the BJP. As soon as elections come, they spread religious unrest for political gains.”
He said, “No collector was asked or given permission. The municipal board took the decision after the order of its chairman. The government has taken immediate action. We have imposed restrictions. We ordered the idols to be put back,” he said. Have given.”
Alwar DM on temple demolition
According to the Alwar District Magistrate, the decision to demolish the temple was taken after a consensus was reached. All the trespassers were personally served notices on April 6 and an announcement was made two days before the anti-encroachment drive, he said. The anti-encroachment drive was conducted on April 17 and April 18. The DM said that no legal framework was broken and there was no protest during the demolition drive.
