Five child marriages stopped due to vigilance of administration and social institutions in Ajmer, family was banned

With the joint efforts of Rajasthan Women Welfare Board, District Legal Services Authority, Child Empowerment Department, Human Prevention of Smuggling Unit, District Police and Administration, five child marriages on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya were successfully stopped in the district. The action was taken under the direction of the Women’s Welfare Board at Chachiawas, in which the concerned departments played an active role.

Director of the institution Rakesh Kumar Kaushik said that prompt action was taken on receiving information about child marriage in various areas of the district. Preparations for child marriage were going on in Singra village of Rupangarh, Bhanta in Nasirabad and Budhwara, Hanutia and Loharwada of Pisangan. Taking this information seriously, coordination was established with all the departments, letters were sent to the concerned police stations and the local control room was also alerted.

With the help of religious leaders, the organization launched an awareness campaign about the ill effects of child marriage in the local community. Family members were made aware that child marriage is not only a legal offense, but it also adversely affects the health, education and mental development of children. In this campaign, which lasted for three days, all five families were banned from having child marriage.

In this joint campaign, the child line team along with Nanulal Prajapati, Sonu Kanwar Rathore, Jyoti Manduravalia, Chitralekha Raj, Amita and Deepak Kumar Zorm played active participation. The vigilance and commitment of all teams succeeded in preventing social evils like child marriage. This initiative of administration and social organizations not only secured the future of five innocent children, but also sent a positive message against child marriage in the society.
