-Secretary in charge entered the fields to take stock of waterlogging in Bharatpur
Bharatpur Transport and District In -charge Secretary Shuchi Tyagi reached the fields and affected settlements directly on Friday to take stock of the situation of waterlogging after heavy rains. Tyagi, who came to Bharatpur on a one -day visit, not only inspected the submerged crops with a team of officials, but also interacted with the affected villagers and assured them of all possible help from the government. He instructed the relief work to formulate an action plan with full sensitivity.
The secretary in -charge started his visit with inspection of Malah, BDA, Municipal Corporation and Shyurana villages of Bharatpur block. Here he assessed the damage caused by waterlogging in the fields and learned their problems with the villagers. He assured the villagers that the state government is standing with them in this difficult time and assistance will be delivered to every needy.
He took a detailed feedback on the water situation in Ramnagar Domora Canal, Ajan Dam and Gambhir river from the Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department and reviewed the progress of budget announcements. He gave necessary guidelines to Bharatpur Development Authority (BDA) Commissioner Kanishka Kataria, especially to make permanent drainage arrangements in scheme number 13 of the authority. He insisted and said that drainage and relief work from both urban and rural areas should carry out with full vigilance and sensitivity. He said that the e-Gradavari process is extremely important for accurate assessment of crop damage and to provide compensation to the farmers in a transparent manner, no negligence will be tolerated in it.
In -charge Secretary directed the concerned officials that from September 15 to October 2, the village Chalo Abhiyan and from September 18, village Chalo Abhiyan will be run in two gram panchayats of each Panchayat Samiti, the campaign will run three days a week. Instructions were given to ensure widespread publicity of this campaign to perform public utility work, so that the common man is benefited in maximum number. He said that the cooperative membership campaign will also be conducted in the district from October 2 to October 15. He instructed to make extensive preparations for the successful organization of all three campaigns. He asked for vaccination and medical services to assess livestock loss in excess rainfall areas and to prevent animal diseases. He said that all departments should work with coordination for the identity of the district to give new identity to the characteristics identified in the Panch Gaurav program and publicity to the people.
District Collector Qamar Chaudhary assured the secretary in -charge that compliance with all the instructions given by him would be ensured and he immediately instructed the concerned officials to initiate action on it.
During this, Chief Executive Officer Mridul Singh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Shravan Vishnoi, ACEO Vinay Mitra, Sub Divisional Officer Rajiv Sharma, Assistant Director Lok Seva Bharati Bharti Bhardwaj, Executive Engineer Water Resources Department Ban Singh and senior officials of various departments were present.
