Fraud of Rs 24 lakh in the name of giving franchise
SHO Girdhari Lal of Cyber Police Station in Dungarpur district said that Prashant Chaubisa, a resident of Shivaji Nagar in Dungarpur city, had reported on 18 November 2024 at Dungarpur Cyber Police Station. The report stated that he saw the advertisement for the franchise of the Tata Judio Company on Facebook. Prashant then contacted the number given in the advertisement and email ID. During this time, an unknown person cheated 24 lakh 24 thousand 500 rupees in the name of giving Prashant a franchise of Tata Zoo Company. On the report of the victim, the cyber police station has registered a case and started investigation.
Business of fraud through fake website
In this case, the police arrested Ritu Anand, son of Parameshwara Prasad, a resident of Godda district of Jharkhand, on charges of cheating. Ritu Anand told that she works to create a website and Munna and her brother, a resident of Patna Ahikhak, have made this fake website. After which the police started searching for Munna and his brother. The police got success and arrested Munna, a resident of Patna. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused has cheated many people by creating fake websites of various companies. Police is questioning the accused Munna.
