Friends from Pune along with experts from IIT Kanpur developed the first app for dementia, know its specialties

Kanpur: There is a continuous increase in neuro diseases in the country and the world. A large number of dementia patients are also coming forward. Just like diseases like heart attack, cancer, diabetes catch people in their grip, dementia has also become a major disease. A large number of people are falling prey to this disease.

According to doctors, if it is not treated on time, people can even die. But if its proper treatment is done on time, then one can get rid of it. IIT Kanpur is constantly doing new research in the medical field and developing technology. In this sequence, experts of IIT Kanpur, along with Shobhit and his friend from Pune, have developed an app which will help a lot in identifying and maintaining this disease.

This is how the idea came
Shobhit Das, a resident of Pune, told that his father was suffering from dementia, due to which he thought why not develop a mobile app that can help in the maintenance and treatment of this disease. After this, he met the experts of IIT Kanpur and decided to prepare this app, after which this app was prepared in 2022, which has been named Manastik. With the help of this app, patients related to dementia will be able to get treatment with one click. Not only this, in this app, people will also be able to get information about the renowned dementia doctors of the country and the world.

Two friends developed the app together
This app was developed by Manastik Technology Private Limited. Shobhit Das and his friend Pushkar Raj are the founders of this app. Both of them have developed this app together. The clinical trial of this app is going on. Pushkar Raj, who developed this app, said that on an average 5 to 6 million people in the country are falling prey to this disease every year and this figure is 10 times more in the world. On the other hand, if the patients get timely treatment, then this disease can be controlled.

Shobhik Das told that dementia is a type of neurological disorder. This disease especially affects the brain. In this, the nerves of the head start shrinking. Due to which the person’s affect changes. If it can be treated on time, then the person’s life can be saved.
