From Dhanbad to Bengaluru, wells will get new life with shallow water in 10 cities

The women of Jharia Circle in Dhanbad, Jharkhand were desperate for water. They gathered in a local temple to find a solution and then decided to dig a well. Anirudh Soni, a research associate of the National Institute for Urban Affairs, says, “Without any scientific background, she just knew that [अगर वे] ‘If you dig a well here, we will get some kind of water’.
