With these launches, the already popular mid-size SUV vehicles in the market like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq will get tough competition.

Maruti Suzuki Mid-Size SUV (With Toyota)
Maruti Suzuki and Toyota in partnership is all set to bring a new mid-size SUV to the country to take on Hyundai’s Creta. This car can be launched in India in the second half of next year or early 2023. The mid-size SUV could measure around 4.3 meters in length and could be based on the DNGA modular platform from Toyota and Daihatsu. Also, this car will get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, large touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, automatic climate control, cruise control and many other great and advanced features.
According to the report, 1.4 liters of petrol is likely to be available in this car. With this, the car will get 138bhp power and 230Nm torque. Talking about the gearbox, according to the report, this SUV can get 3 options of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter automatic.
New Mahindra Mid-Size XUV500
Mahindra had recently announced the launch of a mid-size SUV with the XUV500 name tag in the Indian market. The new mid-size SUV from the company will be positioned between the existing XUV300 and XUV700 in the lineup. According to a report, the new SUV will be based on the modified platform of the company’s XUV300. The company has not yet given information about the official launch timeline of this new car, but according to a recent report, Mahindra’s new mid-size SUV can knock in the Indian market by 2024. Also, this car will be equipped with great features.
Talking about the engine, the company is likely to offer this car in two options of 1.5 liter turbo-diesel and 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine.
New Honda Mid-Size SUV
Honda had made an official announcement a while back and informed that they are working on a new mid-size SUV for India. According to a recent report, this new mid-size can be launched in the country by the end of 2023. The RS concept of this car was also introduced at the GIIAS 2021 held sometime back. According to a report, the new mid-size SUV could be based on the platform of the Honda City and its length could be around 4.3 meters. Also, the best features will also be seen in this car.
According to the report, the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine could be used in this new mid-size SUV with manual and automatic transmission. Also, the option of 1.5 liter petrol engine with Honda’s e:HEV mild hybrid technology can also be found in this car.
