After the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in India, the formation of the new government has been completed. Narendra Modi has taken oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive time. Along with PM Modi, a total of 71 leaders have taken oath as ministers. Everyone has also taken charge of their respective ministries. Now the next phase of this entire process will be the conduct of a new session of Parliament where new MPs will take oath. Parliament session will begin from June 24
Kiren Rijiju said that the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will run from June 24 to July 3. The newly elected members will be sworn in on the first two days of the Parliament session. The Speaker of the House i.e. the Lok Sabha Speaker will be elected on June 26. After this, President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint meeting of both the houses and present the roadmap of the new government for the next five years. The Parliament session will conclude on July 3.

- 27 Presidential Address
- 28 June – Proceedings (chances of uproar) – Government will try to discuss the President’s address but opposition can create uproar.
- 1 July – Discussion on President’s address
- 2 July – PM’s reply to President’s address in Lok Sabha
- 3 July – PM’s reply in Rajya Sabha
- There will be no zero hour and question hour.
