BJP has also released the fifth list of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections today. Many big names have been cut from this list of BJP, which is a big surprise in itself. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced the names of 111 candidates in the fifth list for the Lok Sabha elections. According to this list, this time BJP has given ticket to local MLA Atul Garg from Ghaziabad in place of former Union Minister VK Singh. Whereas the ticket of Union Minister Ashwini Choubey has been canceled from Buxar, Bihar, Mithilesh Tiwari has been made the candidate in his place.
Many surprises in BJP’s list
Not only this, the ticket of Varun Gandhi, the current MP from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, has been cut and Jitin Prasad, a minister in the Yogi government, has been made the candidate in his place. Although Varun’s ticket has been canceled, BJP is fielding his mother Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur again. Whereas Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been made the candidate from Sambalpur, Odisha. Film actress Kangana Ranaut’s name is also in this list of BJP. He has been given ticket from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Former MP Naveen Jindal, who joined BJP some time ago, has been made its candidate from Kurukshetra by BJP. Whereas BJP has made Sita Soren its candidate from Dumka in Jharkhand. Sita Soren is the sister-in-law of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and recently she had joined the BJP.
These ministers and former ministers got tickets again
Union Minister Giriraj Singh will once again contest from Begusarai while other Union Ministers belonging to Bihar, Nityanand Rai from Ujiarpur, RK Singh from Arrah, Ramkripal Yadav from Patliputra. Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has once again been given ticket from Patna Sahib and Sushil Kumar Singh has been given ticket from Aurangabad. Rajya Sabha member Vivek Thakur has been made the candidate from Nawada. Former Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh will contest from East Champaran while Sanjay Jaiswal will once again contest from West Champaran. BJP has fielded former Kerala unit president K Surendran as its candidate from Wayanad seat against former Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
BJP has declared 291 candidates so far
Let us tell you that till now BJP has declared the names of candidates for 291 Lok Sabha seats. These include candidates from other states including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Kerala and Telangana. Three of the declared candidates, including Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, have withdrawn their names after the controversy. Elections for 543 Lok Sabha seats are to be held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
