The situation became tense after the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) national president and Bhima Army founder Chandrashekhar Azad, who came to meet a victim’s family in Karchana region, became tense after being stopped at the circuit house on Sunday. In protest against this action, his supporters and activists created a ruckus and disturbance. Due to this, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the city.
51 miscreants sent jail
Within 24 hours of the incident, the police took fast action and arrested 51 miscreants, including Bhim Army workers and sent them to jail on Monday. Taking this disturbance seriously, the police administration has also identified more than 100 people with the help of video footage, photographs and CCTVs, which will be taken action soon.
18 teams and sog active for arrest
Police have deployed 18 special teams and SOG (Special Operation Group) to arrest the miscreants. Till now more than 38 villages have been raided and the search for the remaining accused has been intensified. The Superintendent of Police clearly stated that those who disturb the peace will not be spared under any circumstances.
What was the matter?
Chandrashekhar Azad came to meet a Dalit family in Karchana area of Prayagraj on Sunday, who is recently said to be a victim of harassment. But under the administrative order, he was stopped in the circuit house itself, causing resentment among his supporters and the atmosphere became tense.
Bhima Army activists raised incidents such as slogans, sabotage and road jam on the spot. The police also had to use force to control the situation.
Strict warning of administration
The police administration has clarified that strict action will be taken against those who spoil law and order. Such people will be identified and sent to jail and sections like Gangster Act and NSA (National Security Act) can also be imposed if needed.
This development in Prayagraj has once again made it clear that if the law is taken into hand under the guise of agitation on political opposition or social issues, the administration will appear strictly. The message is clear from the arrest of Chandrashekhar supporters and the frequent raids that no one above the law.
