All four astronauts are trained pilots of the Air Force. Giving a big update on Gaganyaan, Somnath said, we are working on the first mission of Gaganyaan. It has been given the G1 code. This will be an unmanned mission. That is, no human will go in it. After this, S200, L1 and C32 phases will be completed.

The work of integrating the crew module is going on at VSSC Trivandrum. The crew escape hardware is also fully ready. If there is no problem, we will achieve the target on time. The ISRO chief also informed that the construction of the second rocket launch center has also started in Kulasekarpattinam in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu. It is expected to be completed in 2 years.
