Gautam Gambhir, while answering a question related to Team India at an event in Abu Dhabi, said, ‘I would love to become the coach of the Indian team. There is no greater honour than becoming the coach of your national team. You are representing 140 crore Indians and people around the world and when you represent India, how can it be bigger than that?’
Gautam Gambhir has been a part of the world champion team twice. He has been a member of the T20 World Cup winning team in 2007 and the ODI World Cup winning team in 2011. Under his captaincy, KKR won the IPL trophy in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir also explained how Team India can become a world champion. He said that there are 140 crore Indians who will help India win the World Cup. According to Gambhir, ‘If everyone starts praying for us and we start playing and representing them, then India will win the World Cup.’
