In Ghaziabad city adjoining Delhi, the order given by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation to close all the meat shops closed for the next nine days from Saturday, April 2, has now been withdrawn.
According to the information, in view of Chaitra Navratri, an order was issued by Ghaziabad Mayor Asha Sharma to keep all meat and meat shops in the city closed for the next nine days. The Mayor had sent a letter to Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Singh, the city health officer in this regard, and instructed to implement the order and clean all the temples.
According to a press release issued by Mayor Asha Sharma, in the second letter sent on Saturday to the Municipal Health Officer, it has been said that the order for closure of meat and meat shops in Ghaziabad city has been modified. Now it should be ensured that only the guidelines issued by the Uttar Pradesh government should be followed.
In the letter of the mayor yesterday, it was said that the sale of meat and meat will be completely banned in the city during Navratri. The Mayor said that in view of the Navratri which started from April 2, special attention has been given to the cleanliness of all the temples. Action has also been taken if dirt is found around the temples. The officials of the Electricity Department have been asked to make proper arrangements for lighting in the temples.
Health Officer Dr. Mithlesh Kumar has been ordered that all meat shops should be closed for the next nine days. Strict action should be taken against those opening the shop.
