New Delhi. Ghulam Nabi Azad, who quit the party targeting the Congress high command and especially Rahul Gandhi, has rubbished the speculations that he will now join the BJP. Ghulam Nabi told the English newspaper ‘Deccan Herald’ that he would not join the BJP. Azad said that he did not and did not intend to join the BJP. He said that he would form his own party and contest the elections for the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Ghulam Nabi from the newspaper said that the speculation of joining BJP is a foolish idea. How can a Kashmiri join BJP?
Azad said that I hate such speculations. Regarding Congress, he said that he has been in this party since his college days. He will never join BJP. He said that I will prepare my party for the elections to be held in Kashmir. Ghulam Nabi called the new Congress leaders sycophants and said that the experience of senior leaders does not matter to Rahul Gandhi. He said that Congress needs to run a ‘Congress Jodo’ campaign instead of ‘Bharat Jodo’. Ghulam Nabi said that the new president will also be a puppet of the Gandhi family. The new president of Congress is to be elected on October 19.
Ghulam Nabi had recently resigned from the Congress. In his 5-page resignation letter, he had targeted Rahul Gandhi. Azad had written that when Rahul Gandhi unfortunately entered politics and became the party’s vice-president, he kept senior leaders aside and kept inexperienced people close to him. Azad had also written that it seems that Rahul Gandhi’s security personnel and personal staff in Congress are taking all the decisions. He also wrote that Rahul has completely destroyed the old way of working of Congress and the advisory system.
