New Delhi. Arshad Nadeem, the only Pakistani athlete to win a gold medal in javelin throw at Paris Olympics 2024, is being showered with gifts. Punjab province Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had already promised to give Nadeem 10 crore Pakistani rupees. Now she has announced to gift a Honda Civic car to the Olympic gold medalist. Arshad Nadeem was handed over the keys of the Honda Civic car at a recent welcome ceremony. The special thing is that the number of this car is ‘PAK-9297’, which reflects his achievement of throwing the javelin 92.97 meters in javelin throw. The price of Honda Civic car in Pakistan starts from 86 lakh Pakistani rupees.

The coach also received a cheque of Rs 50 lakh
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also met Nadeem’s mother Razia Parveen and wished her. Nawaz had a long conversation with Nadeem’s family and also took pictures with the family. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also handed over a cheque of 50 lakh Pakistani rupees to Nadeem’s coach Salman Iqbal Butt and praised him profusely. The Chief Minister said that Arshad Nadeem has created an atmosphere of happiness in the whole of Pakistan. Nadeem’s family called the Chief Minister’s visit a matter of honour. Many other ministers including Pakistan Government’s Sports Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar were also present on this occasion. Earlier, a total prize money of Rs 15 crore in Indian currency has been announced for Arshad Nadeem.
