A case of sensational murder has come to light due to the skeleton of a young woman was found in the Sunatang forest in Malkangiri district of Odisha. The deceased has been identified as 25 -year -old Mangaldei Nag, a resident of Murutunda village in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Police arrested 20 -year -old student Umesh Nag, a resident of Pondam village in Sukma on charges of murder.
After getting a skeleton in the forest on April 12, the police initially considered it a normal death, but when the post -mortem report came and other evidence, the case of murder came out. The deceased was identified with his clothes and goods, which was also confirmed by his family.
Both were in a relationship for a year
Investigation revealed that Umesh and Mangaldei were in a relationship for the last one year. Mangaldei was pregnant and Umesh wanted to hide this. According to the police, on March 20, Umesh Mangaldei was taken to Malkangiri District Hospital for abortion. But after the ultrasound, doctors refused to abortion.
Investigation intensified after receiving skeletons
Troubled by this, Umesh made a dreadful plan. He took Mangaldei to the Sunatang forest, where he murdered him and buried the body, so that no evidence was found. However, a few days later, when the skeleton was found, the mystery was revealed and the investigation intensified.
Reconstruction of crime
Malkangiri police said that the accused has been arrested from Sukma and has been brought to Malkangiri for questioning. The Superintendent of Police said, “We have recovered the dead body, confirmed the identity and caught the accused based on the post -mortem report. Crime scene has also been recreated. The victim’s clothes have also been confiscated. We will take strict steps to provide justice.” At present, the police is questioning the accused and further investigation is on.
