New Delhi . The price of gold will be recorded below Rs 94,000 per 10 grams on the closure of the market on Friday. However, before that 24 carat 10 grams of gold was at Rs 93,393. According to the latest update of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 24 carat gold prices remain Rs 93,954 per 10 grams. The price of 10 grams of gold has increased by Rs 561 from the previous price. At the same time, the price of one kilogram of silver has been updated at Rs 94,125. Earlier, the price of silver was Rs 94,200 per kg. That is, the price of silver has fallen by Rs 75 per kg.
According to the updated rates on May 2, the price of 22 carat gold remains at Rs 86,062 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of 18 carat gold was Rs 70,466 per 10 grams.
Earlier, the price of 24 carat gold was at Rs 94,361 per 10 grams on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on the last trading day of April last month. At the same time, the price of 22 carat gold was Rs 86,435 per 10 grams.
There has been a sharp decline in yellow metal prices in recent times. In the last two weeks, the price of gold has fallen by around Rs 6,000. On April 22, the price of 24 carat gold touched its highest level to Rs 1,00,000 per 10 grams.
Despite the huge rise in prices, gold and silver sales were seen on the auspicious occasion of the wedding season and Akshaya Tritiya.
According to a report by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), on Wednesday, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, gold jewelery worth about Rs 12,000 crore and related items were sold in the country. In addition, according to the major trade body, silver trade of about Rs 4,000 crore is estimated on this auspicious day.
