He said the ministry is constantly monitoring the operations of airports and airlines to take care of travel adjustments and refunds. “From 3 am on Saturday, airline systems at the airports have started functioning normally. Flight operations are now running smoothly,” Naidu said in a statement.

The functioning of companies was affected

According to a source, the reservation and check-in system of most airlines including IndiGo, SpiceJet, Akasa and Air India Express is now operational. Airline IndiGo said that due to global disruption, operational difficulties had arisen, which have almost been resolved. However, customers may still face delays and timetable disruptions over the weekend. Technology disruptions were faced worldwide, including India, on Friday due to the ‘update’ of a third-party software platform related to Microsoft affecting Windows-powered devices. This disruption affected aviation, media and financial services and also affected the functioning of many other companies.
