Chamba. The BJP, which is preparing for the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, has suffered a setback from the Chamba assembly seat. Indira Kapoor, who is angry with the decision of the party high command after changing the ticket here, has filed her nomination as an independent candidate on Tuesday. After this, it is now believed that the electoral difficulties of BJP candidate Neelam Nayyar are set to increase. Let us tell you that after filling the nomination form, Indira Kapoor while talking to reporters in Chamba said that any kind of injustice will not be tolerated by the party. Because I have full confidence that the people of Chamba will send me to the assembly after winning with a huge vote. After becoming an MLA, I will try to move forward the development works of Chamba at a faster pace.
Let us tell you that the Bharatiya Janata Party had taken a big decision by changing its election candidate from Chamba assembly constituency. Himachal BJP organization has now decided to field Neelam Nayyar in place of Indira Kapoor declared for Chamba seat in the first list. But if the BJP high command is to be believed, this decision has been taken because there are criminal cases pending against Indira Kapoor which can tarnish the image of the party. Since then Indira was unhappy with the party.
Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party had cut the ticket of sitting MLA Pawan Nayar, making a big change from the Chamba assembly constituency. After which, this time instead of Pawan Nayar from the party, Indira Kapoor’s name was stamped in the first list on behalf of the party. But because it is being told that a corruption case was going on against Indira Kapoor in the court, the BJP organization had to change her ticket. In place of Indira Kapoor, Neelam Nayar, wife of sitting BJP MLA Pawan Nayar, has now been fielded from this seat.
Let us tell you that Chamba assembly seat comes under Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. In 2017, a total of 49.33 percent votes were cast in Chamba. In 2017, Pawan Nayyar from Bharatiya Janata Party defeated Neeraj Nayyar of Indian National Congress by a margin of 1879 votes. But now Indira Kapoor’s rebellious tone seems to be a challenge for the BJP.
