CERT-In has seen this flaw in new and old Android operating systems. Due to this, smartphones with Android 12, Android 12L, Android 13 and Android 14 operating systems may be affected.
The cyber security agency says that 30 million or 3 crore Android smartphones can be affected due to this. The fact that millions of devices are affected is not only a problem for the users, but the security agency may also face difficulties in this.
Smartphones of these brands will be affected
CERT-In has reported several vulnerabilities in its report and said that it exists in the framework. This flaw has been seen in Google Play System Update, Kernel, ARM components, MediaTek components and Qualcomm Cloud Sourced Components. This problem is deep-rooted in Android smartphones. Manufacturers of these components should fix it. The government agency has found such problems in smartphones of Samsung, Realme, OnePlus, Xiaomi and Vivo. These brands should immediately release security patches for this.
