Ukraine Russia Crisis: Today (Saturday) is the third day of Russia’s attacks in Ukraine. The return of Indians from Ukraine has started. Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said that more than 4000 people have returned, but some people are still trapped there. India is committed to the safety of its citizens. We are trying to get people out of there. Ukraine’s airspace is closed so we are using land routes.
The government will bear the cost of bringing the students
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Indian government will bring the people trapped in Ukraine at its own expense. Many people had already come from there. Our External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has spoken to the Foreign Minister of Ukraine. Arrangements are underway to bring them here safely. We want the situation to be normal.

It’s Putin’s War
German Ambassador to India Walter J Lindner said that this is Putin’s war. It’s a shame this is happening. We will respond with economic sanctions. He said that he cannot allow occupation of other country. We want an international community based on international law.
188 people from Uttarakhand stranded in Ukraine
Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar said that 188 people of the state have been reported trapped in Ukraine. The Ministry of External Affairs is making necessary arrangements to get them out. The state’s helpline number is 112. At the same time, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that around 1200-2000 people are trapped in Ukraine. We are working closely with the Center to bring everyone back safely.
