KolkataWest Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose has strongly condemned the recent violence in Murshidabad. The Governor has clearly stated that the people of India, that is, the people of the country, have passed the Waqf Bill and if an inherent selfish group deliberately tries to create unrest, it will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The governor emphasized that such efforts should be strictly suppressed and strict action will be taken against any group that will try to spread violence in the society.
The Raj Bhavan Media Cell wrote in a post on the social media platform X, “The Honorable Governor strongly condemned the incidents of violence in Murshidabad after the Waqf Bill was passed.
The post further wrote, “Recently the festival of Shri Ram Navami was celebrated peacefully – which proved that there is harmony among the people of Bengal and the administration, political parties, media, common people and all parties have worked together. Any attempt to destroy this harmony should be strongly opposed.
