Bikaner. For the first time this year in Rajasthan, grading system has been implemented for the fifth and eighth grade board examinations. Under this, students who score less than 40 percent marks will not get promotion in the next class. Such students will have to take the exam again in their own school. If less than 40 percent of the marks come again, then they will be arranged to sit in special classes and improve the educational level.
In this regard, the order has been issued by Chandra Kiran Panwar, Assistant Director of the Directorate of Elementary Education. At the same time, Assistant Director of Education Departmental Registrar Office Kuldeep Budhania said that under the new system, efforts are being made to improve the weak performance of children in time, so that they can study better in the next class.
The grading system will be as follows:
A grade: 81 to 100 percent marks
B Grade: 61 to 80 percent marks
C Grade: 41 to 60 percent marks
D grade: 33 to 40 percent marks
E Grade: 00 to 32 percent marks
Till now, 33 percent marks were considered sufficient to pass the board examinations, but the state government has increased this limit keeping in mind the real educational qualifications of the students.
It is worth noting that this year, about 25 lakh students are appearing in the fifth and eighth board examinations in Rajasthan. In the fifth board alone, more than 13 lakh students are taking the exam. The education department believes that most of the students get marks above D grade, but some students remain in D and E grade, which makes them difficult to study further.
The new system is expected that students will study more seriously and the quality of education will improve.
