People who are fond of food make many new dishes by doing experiments. People used to do this even in the times of our grandmothers. So many kinds of vegetables could be made with just one gram flour. If you do not have any vegetable at home, then you can make a delicious vegetable with just gram flour and eat it. The name of this vegetable is Besan ka Karar, some people also call it Besan ke Karare. Yes, making Besan ka Karar is very easy. You can prepare it instantly. If you have never tried this vegetable, then definitely make it once and eat it. Know how to make Besan ka Karar and what is this special recipe.

Ingredients for Besan Ka Karra:

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tsp crushed red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 bowl of oil
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli
  • 1 bowl of gram flour
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • Half a teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • half teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • half bowl of curd

Method to make Besan Ka Karar:

First step- First of all, take out the gram flour in a thali or plate and keep wetting it slightly by sprinkling water. Water should be used very slowly and in less quantity. So that as soon as light lumps are formed in the gram flour, it should not become too wet. Spread the gram flour on a plate.

Second step- Turn on the gas and place a pan and pour oil in it and then add mustard seeds, fenugreek, asafoetida and add the wet gram flour. Roast the gram flour while stirring it. When the gram flour is roasted, add crushed red chilli and garlic and fry it.

Third step- Keep stirring the gram flour continuously and add spices. Now mix turmeric and add Kashmiri red chilli. Add salt as per taste. Now add 1 bowl of water in it. After boiling, add curd.

Fourth step- Now cook it by stirring it continuously. Let the karaar cook on medium flame for 15 minutes. Add some garam masala on top and mix some finely chopped coriander.

Fifth step- Delicious gram flour karaab is ready which you can eat with roti, paratha or rice. If you want, you can add tomato puree instead of curd in karaab. You can make it without tomatoes also.
