Greater Noida. A heartbreaking incident came to light in Greater Noida on Wednesday, when a young man attempted self -immolation outside the office of Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Manish Verma. The young man tried to set himself on fire by putting petrol, causing a stir in the DM office premises. The young man’s life was saved due to the vigilance and quick action of the policemen present on the spot.
According to the information received, the young man who tried self -immolation had a case related to revenue, which he was very upset. He tried to contact the authorities several times about his problem, but when he did not find any solution, he tried to take this drastic step.
As soon as the young man tried to set himself on fire by putting petrol outside the DM office, there was chaos among the people and employees present there. As soon as the information was received, the policemen immediately came into action and managed to stop it. If the policemen were delayed for a few seconds, then a major accident could have happened.
Soon after the incident, the police took the young man into custody and he is being questioned. Police officials say that the complaints of the youth will be taken seriously and if there is any injustice to him, appropriate action will be taken on him.
After this incident, the district administration has appealed to the general public to contact the administration instead of taking steps like suicide. Officials have assured that all possible help will be done and their complaints will be heard seriously.
