Explosions happening every hour in Dnipro
‘I am a student of MBBS 4th year at Dnipro State Medical University. This university is located in Dnipro city of Ukraine. The sound of the explosion was heard for the first time at around 5.30 am. Then my friends and I were sleeping in the hostel of the university campus itself. We all got up as soon as the explosion happened. When I looked outside, the sound of a fighter jet was echoing in the sky. Since then there has been one blast every hour. Wait a minute…. have you heard this voice? There has just been an explosion again. I think it has exploded closer than before. The blasts that took place earlier were about 15-20 kilometers away. Friends have contacted the Embassy. We are scared. Please help us.’
(Panki, a student of Kanpur as told to AnyTV)
It was half past four in the morning. I live in a flat near the Black Sea National University campus in Mikolayev. Me and my friends were sleeping, when suddenly there was a sound of explosions. There were several explosions one after the other. We all got up. Looking out from the balcony, only the sound of fighter jets and explosions was coming in the midst of darkness. We immediately turned on the TV and came to know that Russia has attacked. We have no idea what to do. Early in the morning our Ukrainian friends are also running away from the city. There are long lines in the market. There is also a big line in front of the ATM. Contacted Indian Embassy but no response is received. Those people are saying that they had already told that leave the country. Now it will take time. He is asking us to stay at home. I am a student of MBBS 4th year here. More than 50 Indian students are stranded with me.
(As told by a student from Samastipur, Bihar from AnyTV)
I am a student of MBBS 2nd year at Mernopil State Medical University. There are about two thousand Indian students here. Some of these are gone. I am originally from Gorakhpur city of UP. Everyone is scared here. There is no attack in my city yet, but some of my friends had a flight from Kiev to India today. As soon as he reached the airport early in the morning, the Ukrainian army turned him back. There was an explosion near the airport. My friends are scared. They’re coming back. I don’t know what will happen here now.
