New Delhi. Many types of incidents happen in trains every day. Especially in Bihar, incidents of stopping trains without reason and theft of goods in bogies have also increased. In one such case, Muzaffarpur Railway Police has made a big disclosure. GRP has got a big success at Dighwara railway station near Muzaffarpur. GRP notices some suspicious people traveling in Sadbhavana Expressway and their actions lead to a big disclosure. RPF and GRP not only caught 4 people, but also recovered many items including gold in a trolley bag.
Indian Railways has launched an intensive campaign to stop theft in trains. In this connection, during intensive checking at Dighwara railway station in Muzaffarpur Railway Division, a suspicious person started running after seeing the police. At first, his body suddenly started sweating. When GRP got suspicious, they started questioning him. During interrogation, he told that I and my other companions were stealing trolley bags from Sadbhavana Express and taking them away.

Muzaffarpur has also arrested 3 of the suspect’s accomplices on the basis of his information. In this regard, Sonpur Railway Police Station Case No. 116/24 dated 17.08.2024 Section 303(2)/317(2) BNS has been registered and all have been sent to judicial custody. During interrogation, all of them also told that on 10.08.2024, a trolley bag was stolen from Sadbhavana Express, which contained jewelry and cash.
GRP recovered gold worth more than Rs 3 lakh
In this regard, Sonpur Railway Police Station Case No. 113/24 dated 11.08.2024 Section 303(2) BNS has been registered. When asked about the said jewellery and cash, Rajiv Kumar, age-32 years, father’s name Jaiprakash Sah, Harouli Check, Police Station Qazipur, District Vaishali, who works as a goldsmith, told that he had sold the jewellery at a jewellery shop in Hajipur, which was melted by the goldsmith. In return, he got Rs 307000. The goldsmith has been arrested by GRP. On his information, 45 grams of melted gold has been seized from the jewellery shop.
4 arrested from different districts of Bihar
During the search of the hideout of all the accused, a motorcycle was found without documents, which appeared to be stolen. This motorcycle has been seized. Also, raids are being conducted continuously to arrest other absconding accused. GRP has arrested 19-year-old Sunil Kumar from Fatuha police station, district Patna. The second person Santosh Kumar alias Shravan, whose age-40 has been arrested from Oriyara Mahadev Sthan, police station Dhanrua, district Patna. Neeraj Kumar, age-34 years, Jitwarpur, Ward No.-1, police station Sadar, district Vaishali and Rajiv Kumar, age-32 years, have been arrested from Harouli Check, police station Qazipur, district Vaishali.
5 mobiles, one trolley bag, 2 backpacks, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 screwdrivers and valuable clothes have been recovered from all the accused. Along with this, 45 grams of solid gold worth Rs. 3,50,000 has been recovered from the goods stolen in the trolley bag on August 10 at Sadbhavana Expressway. A motorcycle has also been recovered. GRP will return the goods to those people whose goods were stolen by these thieves.
