The officer pretended to have a headache
A police officer said that the crime was reportedly occurred when the officer’s family was out. According to the complaint of the woman, the accused Colonel took an excuse for headache and took her to his room and asked to put a balm on the head. After this he committed indecency with the woman.
The victim left the job and returned to the city
Not only this, the officer also threatened the woman to remain silent. After this, the victim quit the job and left the city and went to her home to Ambala. The woman kept this thing secret for many years. He did not say anything to anyone in fear. He did not let anyone know what happened to him. He did not tell anyone about his past.
The victim met the officer’s wife after years
Incidentally, after years, the victim met Colonel’s wife in September last year. She was in Dehradun at that time. The victim told the whole story to the officer’s wife. The officer’s wife supported the victim and asked her to contact the police. However, the police first refused to register a case. After this, the woman went to court.
In the case, SHO Deepak Dhariwal of Clement Town said, “A case has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC. Army officials are currently being contacted to get information about their posting. Further action in the case is pending.
