Gurugram. The administration has taken strict steps to provide relief to Gurugram, which is facing the problem of traffic jam due to increasing encroachment in Sadar Bazaar and other areas of the city. DTP department officer R.S. Bhath and the Municipal Corporation team have started strict action against encroachment.
R.S. Bhath visited Sadar Bazaar and surrounding areas and gave a stern warning to the encroachers. He clearly said that making the city encroachment free is a priority and strict action will be taken against anyone who hinders this campaign.
On Thursday R.S. Bhath visited Sadar Bazaar and Chudi Bazaar, where the road and footpath were encroached upon by shopkeepers. He made it clear to the traders that any kind of encroachment outside their shops will not be tolerated.
“If you want to live in Gurugram, you will have to do encroachment-free business,” says R.S. Bhath said. He also said that the major reason for the problem of traffic jam and pollution in the city is encroachment, which is causing great harm to the elderly and children.
R.S. A joint team of GMDA, Municipal Corporation, NHAI and traffic police led by Bhat inspected Rajiv Chowk and under the flyover. This area is now completely encroachment free and efforts are underway to make it green.
R.S. Bhath said GMDA will ensure regular monitoring and inspection to ensure that encroachment does not happen again. Along with this, a meeting will be organized with the traders, where they will be explained the importance of not encroaching outside their shops.
After this strict action, the problem of traffic jam in Sadar Bazaar and other areas has reduced. This initiative of the administration has been appreciated by the citizens, because it will help in controlling both traffic and pollution.
