Gwalior Court News: Gwalior, New Dunia Rep. The Special Sessions Court has sentenced four years imprisonment to Patwari Vinod Gaur and his associate Bijendra Rajouria, who took bribe in the hailstorm case. The court sent both the accused to jail to serve the sentence. Ramvaran Gurjar had complained to the Lokayukta office on April 4, 2016 in Moti Mahal. In which he told that his crop had been destroyed by the hailstorm. He approached Vinod Gaur, Patwari of Jakhara Daleli Halke in Behat tehsil for compensation. Patwari had kept a private person named Bijendra for his cooperation. A bribe of 10 thousand rupees was demanded through him, but instead of bribing the patwari, he wanted to get him caught red handed. After the bribe was confirmed, the Lokayukta police laid a trap to nab the accused. On April 5, 2016, Patwari Vinod Gaur and Bijendra were arrested red handed while taking a bribe of 10 thousand rupees. After investigation, the police presented the challan in the court. The court convicted both the accused under the Corruption Act and sentenced them to four years each.
10 years imprisonment for five accused of robbery and dacoity The Special Sessions Court has sentenced five accused of robbery and dacoity to 10 years in jail. The court sent everyone to jail to serve the sentence. Additional Public Prosecutor Sunil Kumar Pathak said that Chandraprakash, a resident of Barai, had lodged a complaint at Panihar police station that on the intervening night of July 22 and 23, 2015, he went to sleep after having dinner. Then four to five miscreants entered his house. The miscreants asked for the key to the cupboard by showing the gun. Threatened to kill him if he raised an argument. The accused robbed the jewelery and cash from the house. The police arrested Ramvaran Rawat resident of Dongarpur, Raghavendra Rawat resident of Mukkheda, Dharamvir Rawat resident of Sabarai, Kalu alias Manoj Rawat resident of Bajna, Mulayam Singh Rawat resident of Dongarpur in this case. After this the police presented the challan in the court. The court found all the accused guilty and sentenced them to 10 years’ imprisonment.
