Gwalior Traffic News: Jagendra Sen, Gwalior New Dunia. Action will be taken to remove encroachment from Monday to streamline the traffic system from Jayendraganj to Gast ka Tajia, from Maharaja Bada to Ram Mandir intersection, from Kilagate to Hazira and from Baradari intersection to Agrasen Marg. During this, action will be taken from Monday to shift the handcarts to the nearby Hawkers Jane. All the departments will jointly act on these routes. The traffic on these four routes has already been marked. In the presence of Divisional Commissioner Ashish Saxena and IG Anil Sharma, a joint meeting of administrative, municipal and traffic police officers was held on Thursday, in which this decision was taken. The main point of this meeting was to take necessary steps to improve the traffic system of the city.
Most of the traffic jams remain on these four routes: There is a jam situation on these four identified routes from morning till evening. People are worried because of getting stuck in the jam. The divisional commissioner and IG had asked the traffic and municipal officials that on which roads there is a jam situation the most. Counting more than one and a half dozen roads, the officials said that the jam is caused due to temporary and permanent encroachment and the handcarts standing on the road. In the first phase, four routes have been identified for action. After arranging the traffic on these routes, action will be taken in a phased manner to settle the traffic on other routes.
Create red, green and yellow zones for parking: For the ease of traffic, the divisional commissioner has created red, green and yellow zones for parking. Restrict the entry of vehicles in the Red Zone. The traffic police has started homework to divide the municipal officers into zones.
