Gwalior Traffic News: Gwalior, Naidunia Representative. Efforts are being made to streamline the city’s traffic for a long time. The district administration and traffic police have done many experiments, but the results have not come out as expected. Jams and chaotic traffic is the major problem of the markets. To get rid of them, now in the first phase, four main roads have been marked, they will be kept jam-free for 24 hours. Teams of various departments including Divisional Commissioner Ashish Saxena and IG Anil Sharma will march on foot in these routes. During this, action will be taken to remove the permanent and temporary encroachments to send the handcarts to the hawkers zone. This decision was taken in the administration and traffic police meeting held two days ago, after Mahashivratri, there is a possibility of a foot march.
At present this is the situation on the four marked routes.
Traveling from Jayendraganj to Tajia: There is a traffic jam on this route from morning till night. Standing in front of the district court in front of the handcart and vehicles no parking is the main reason for the jam. Lohia Bazar and Dal Bazar cause loading and big vehicles coming from the market. At the same time, the undeclared stand of loading vehicles at Patankar Bazar is also the reason for the jam. This stand was earlier shifted to Amkho.
From Maharaj Bada to Ram Mandir: In the bullion market on this route, vehicles parked in no parking on both sides and vehicles running in the wrong direction without any restriction obstruct the traffic. The road also remains narrow due to the placement of temporary boards on the road in front of the shops. The vendors are also seen standing and roaming on this road.
Kilgate to Hazira: CNG Vikram is the major cause of jam on this route. In the race to take a ride at the fort gate, they jam the entire intersection. It becomes difficult to reach even a two wheeler.
Baradari to Agrasen Chauraha: This suburb is the busiest route to Murar. Passenger vehicles and handcarts are the biggest hindrance of traffic on this route. Hawkers zone is also ready for the vendors. Many times the hawkers have been sent to the hawkers zone, but when they get a chance, the hawkers come back.
This action has to be taken:
Shops on footpaths will be removed including permanent and temporary encroachments in these markets.
– The vendors will be sent to the nearest hawkers zone.
According to the parking in these markets, churning will be done to distribute it into red, yellow and green zones.
– Challan action will be taken against the vehicles coming from the wrong side.
Version-
The traffic police is always ready to take action in the marked routes. The date and time is to be decided after talking to the officials of other departments. Now this campaign will be able to start smoothly after Mahashivratri.
