Gwalior Vaccination News: Ajay Upadhyay, Gwalior New Dunia. National Intensive Mission Indradhanush 4.0 campaign will be run in the district. In which vaccination of children to pregnant mothers will be done. In Indradhanush program a composite index has been prepared for the district. In which HMIS coverage, missed routine vaccination and complete immunization achievement as per NFHS-5, incidence of Measles-Rubella and Diphtheria, VPD surveillance quality and demographic risk factors have been made the basis.
CMHO Dr. Manish Sharma told in the press conference that Gwalior has been included in 5 districts of the state. National Intensive Mission Indradhanush 4.0 campaign will be carried out in three phases (07 March, 4 April, 7 May) in seven working days (except Sunday holidays and regular vaccination days) respectively. In the campaign, children of 0 to 2 years and pregnant women will be surveyed and vaccinated. Areas that could not be vaccinated would be identified and vaccinated. A total of 1001 children and 300 pregnant mothers will be vaccinated in the district. It is worth noting that due to COVID, children and pregnant women have not been properly immunized in the district for the last two years. However, the administration has made every effort at its level and special attention has been paid to rural areas. Vaccination will also be done in urban areas. The CMHO said that the purpose of vaccination is to protect children and mothers from unwanted diseases. So that they can have a safe delivery and the future growing in the womb can be given a safe open breath. Due to this, this campaign of the Central Government, Mission Indradhanush, will be run exclusively across the district. In which children and women will be vaccinated after head counting. CMHO Dr Sharma said that our aim is to vaccinate 100 percent of all children and pregnant mothers, so that diseases can be prevented.
