Gwalior Water tanks News: Gwalior (Naiduniya Representative). Water was supplied to the city’s tanks from the water treatment plant built under the AMRUT scheme. During the first test, the soil filled in the lines is removed by water pressure, but nothing like this was done in this. However, due to the high pressure of water, the water tank which could be filled in six hours was filled in three hours. On Friday, water will be supplied from these tanks in Gwalior assembly and Gwalior East assembly constituency. During the testing on Thursday, there have been water leakages at many places.
More than 700 km of water lines have been laid under the AMRUT scheme at a cost of Rs 320 crore. In addition, a water treatment plant and a line have been laid to bring water from Tigra to Jalalpur. The construction of 40 water tanks has been completed. Most of these water tanks are being operated by filling old lines from the Motijheel plant, but from these tanks, water is still being supplied from old lines in most of the areas. The water tanks were filled on Thursday. From these tanks, water will be supplied from the new DMA across the city on Friday. After the supply of water, it will be known at which places leakages are taking place.
It may take a week for the leakage to be fixed.
As soon as the water supply starts, the problem of bursting of lines will come to the fore at many places along with loosening or non-joint. It will take about seven to eight days for the PHE department to solve these problems, because the pressure from the new water tanks has been said to come very fast.
Water from pressure will come by matching new and old DMA
Under the AMRUT scheme, water lines and tanks have been designed to supply water up to a height of 12 meters without any motor. Lines laid from old water tanks are spread over most areas of the city. Due to this, water will be filled in the tanks under pressure from two plants of Jalalpur and Motijheel. Due to this, now water will come under pressure in the whole city.
Water supply will be like this
A 600 mm diameter water line has come from the Motijheel plant to fill the tanks. I 800 mm line from Jalalpur plant has also been added to this line. Due to this, now this line will be operated from Jalalpur. The tanks of Lashkar and Gwalior assembly constituencies will be filled with this line. Similarly, Narayan Vihar has two lines of diameter 600 and 500 mm. Both these lines will be connected by 1000 mm diameter water line coming from Jalalpur. Before this, the water tanks of the assembly constituency will be filled.
The city will be supplied with 70 water tanks
Water will be supplied from 70 water tanks in the city. In this, 40 water tanks have been constructed under the AMRUT scheme, while five in 1980 and four in 1995 were constructed. In 2012, 21 water tanks were constructed under the ADB project.
