New Delhi: There are some creatures of the forest and the sea which are now numbered. They are kept in the endangered species. Some such fish have been seen on the island of Tasmania in Australia. It looks like a strange creature. Its wings look like a palm. With the help of this the fish moves forward in the water. Its name is Handfish. Conservation programs are also underway to save these colorful fish. If you get a chance to see these fish for the first time, it will look like someone has done a painting.Courtesy of The Underwater Club Facebook page
The University of Tasmania has created a website for its preservation and is taking donations. It has been told that these fishes come from such a family whose ‘hands’ are very big and they do not swim but walk. Yes, they walk. A total of 14 species of headfish are found in South Australia. Their living space is ending. Pollution, climate change are also affecting them.
