Hapur. The double murder of mother and daughter in Khichra village of Hapur district has spread panic and anger in the area. The bodies of Kausar Jahan (60) and his daughter Khushboo (25) were found in a closed house. As soon as the information about this terrible incident was received, the police reached the spot, took possession of the dead bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Dhaulana police station believes that there could be a case of robbery behind the murder. According to the villagers, unknown miscreants entered the house and killed both of them. It is also reported that Kausar Jahan’s husband had died several years ago, and she was living alone with her daughter.
When the police broke the lock of the house and entered, the bodies of both the women were lying there. This horrifying incident has created an atmosphere of terror and anxiety among the villagers. Local residents were already feeling that the door of the house had not been opened for a long time and a foul smell was coming from there.
Hapur ASP Vineet Bhatnagar said that after receiving information from the local people on Saturday, the police reached the spot and opened the door. After identification of the bodies, the police registered an FIR and intensified the investigation into the case. ASP said that this incident seems to be four to five days old, and the police is busy investigating it from various angles.
This heart-wrenching incident is a serious warning for Hapur, indicating that there may be shortcomings in the local security system. An impartial and speedy investigation of this matter is necessary so that the culprits are punished and the confidence of the residents of the area is restored.
