Perfect Thali for Healthy Life: What can be the perfect thali for you? If you are asked this question, then undoubtedly you will tell things according to your taste. But according to science, thali has a different meaning. According to science, the thali should be such that it does not harm the health and keeps the body away from diseases. Keeping this in mind, Harvard Medical Health has come up with a formula for the perfect thali. Under this formula, you can know what your daily thali should be like.

A healthy thali should be like this

1. Fruits and vegetables in half portion – According to Harvard Medical Health, if you want to eat a perfect thali, then half of it should be fruits and vegetables. It should include at least 5 types of fruits and vegetables. However, do not include potatoes and French fries in this thali. Include vegetables like cauliflower, beans, legumes, brinjal, tomatoes and fruits like apples, apricots, oranges in your thali.

2. Whole grains- According to this formula, one-fourth or 25% of your plate should contain whole grains. Keep one thing in mind that whole grains should be with their peel. Anything without peel will be refined. For example, if wheat is ground with its peel, then it is a whole grain. Similarly, consume barley, wheat berries, quinoa, oats, brown rice, etc.

3. One fourth part of protein-A quarter of a healthy thali should be protein. This should include fish, poultry products, beans, nuts and other convenient protein items.

4. Plant Oil- Do not use refined or processed oil while cooking vegetables. Use vegetable oil like mustard oil, olive oil, canola, soya, etc. Do not consume more than three teaspoons of oil in the whole day.

5. Drink water – Always use water for beverages. Drink enough water every day. Do not use too much milk or dairy products. Do not drink any beverages with added sugar.
