Chandigarh The Haryana Legislative Assembly has got another major responsibility. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has handed over to the Haryana Legislative Assembly hosting the conference of national level urban local bodies. The Lok Sabha has written a letter to the Haryana Legislative Assembly for this asking for appropriate arrangements for this conference. The national level two -day conference of urban local bodies is scheduled to be held in Gurugram on 3 and 4 July. The conference will be held under the joint aegis of the Lok Sabha and Haryana Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
Taking this event seriously, Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly Harvinder Kalyan has issued instructions to make proper arrangements for this. In this connection, Lok Sabha, Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Urban Local Bodies Department and Gurugram district administration have started preparations.
The Legislative Assembly Secretariat has also informed the Haryana government in this regard. Representatives of municipal corporations, city councils, municipalities and other urban local bodies of all states and union territories of the country will participate in this conference.
